Love for Bottled drinks
Almost every month new bottled drinks are introduced in the Philippines. These drinks ranges from green and red tea, fat-burning juices, energy drinks and even pre-biotic juices. This fad about bottled drinks started in 2005 by the introduction of C2 (cool and Clean) a green tea flavored drink which comes into apple, lemon and peach flavors. Since it became a hit, it comes up with new packaging and sizes and different flavors. Aside from green tea, other companies started manufacturing red teas, with the same league as C2, like One red tea and Lipton red tea. Coca-Cola company also introduced new product called Real leaf which is also made of green tea.
Aside from teas, companies started to target health-conscious consumers by introducing Del Monte Fit n' Right, a juice drink with L-carnitine that helps burn fats. It comes up with original flavors such as four seasons, pine apple and apple and the newly introduced blueberry, watermelon and grapeberry flavors. Since then, many variants are now available with L-carnitine such as Nature Harvests' Fab juice drink.
Another new product introduced is the Feel Good juice drink with 300mg of pre-biotics that helps in our good digestion. It comes into flavors such as four-seasons and orange-mango.
Several enrgy drinks have also sprouted in the market such as Cobra, Samurai and Sting. This is like typical energy drinks like Lipovitan or RedBull but it is much cheaper and comes in larger size. Before the bottled energy drinks started, extra-joss energy drinks started to come up with a powder form, which is packaged in a small pack.
