Wireless Broadband designs
Internet is now very popular among Filipinos. In fact, majority of the users on the social networking sites like Friendster, Facebook, Twitter or Multiply are Filipinos. With these sites Filipinos can connect to their loved ones especially those who lived abroad. We all know that at least one in every Filipino family has a member working abroad. Thanks to the power of internet that they can connect to them whenever or wherever they are. Internet has also been used nowadays in the academe. Professors sometimes post their hand-outs and schedule or any announcements on the web. Some universities also have their registration online. That is why many internet providers are targeting students as their market. Aside from these, online stores, online webcasts and online dating are now becoming a hit in the Philippines, that is why many telecommunications company are now making different services to cater these “online cravings” of the Filipinos. Here are some of the wireless broadband flash discs designs available in the Philippines:
Filipino pride Shirts
It is now considered “cool” when you wear these Filipino Pride Shirts unlike past years wherein you would be considered “baduy” or “jologs” when you have seen wearing it.
Based on my observations, I think that these fashion statements become a mainstream hit among Filipinos when Francis “Kiko” Magalona died. Kiko is a well known rapper in the Philippines which he is called the “Master Rapper.” He made songs with lyrics that uplift Filipino pride like “Mga Kababayan Ko” and “Man from Manila.” During his early years in the business, he usually wore indigenous clothing from Philippine ethnic groups during concert performances. During late 2007 or 2008 Francis Magalona established clothing line named FMCC, standing for "FrancisM Clothing Co." FMCC also operates its stores under the "3 Stars & A Sun" brand. His shirts showcase design inspired by Filipino icons and symbolisms. Here are some of the shirts available at FrancisM Clothing Co.
This fad about nationalism shirts can also be rooted to the passing of former Philippine President Corazon “Cory” Aquino. Corazon Aquino as well as his late husband Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino both fight for Philippine freedom through EDSA Revolution during Martial Law. Both have a big influence in the Filipinos especially in today’s youth. They are also well known by the color “yellow” which is the color of their fight for freedom. Here are some of the “Cory” and “Ninoy” inspired shirts.
Aside from late Kiko, Cory and Ninoy, Manny Pacquiao – a pound for pound boxing champion of the world and the most popular Filipino boxer and in sports of all time also influenced some to make Filipino pride shirts to express their support to him during his fights. The so called “Pambansang Kamao” even inspired the world known brand NIKE to come up with line of shirts and shoes dedicated to him. Here are some of the Manny Pacquiao inspired shirts.
The most important lesson that Filipinos should remember that nationalism does not only comes by wearing these shirts but by living what these filipino heroes and icons are fighting for.

Nobody,Nobody but You
Korean Pop or K-Pop has now reached the Philippines. Unlike Koreanovelas , Koren music is relatively new to the Filipinos. Popular korean girl groups such as 2ne1 and wonder girls have songs that entered music charts. Their fashion, looks, and dance moves are now being imitated. This particular song “Nobody” by wonder girls is now heard and danced everywhere. This can be attributed to it’s cathchy tune and easy to follow dance steps. Here are the different versions of nobody by the filipinos.

Love About YouTube
I usually browse YouTube to watch videos that are “in” on pop culture. With You Tube, I can watch the replay of foreign shows which are not available in free tv like Amazing Race, Survivor, American Idol and Big Brother.
I also love discovering new artists which do coversongs like Ahmir, Rin on the Rox, Nick Pitera, cathy Nguyen, boyce Avenue and David Choi. I also love watching Filipino YouTube artists such as MoyMoyPalaboy, Cebu Dancing Inmates and Charice Pempengco.
Here is the cover of The Climb of Miley Cyrus by Ahmir:

Love about Forums
The two forums that I usually visit are pinoyexchange and peyups. Both forums cover wide range of topics from music, entertainment, academe, and news etc. Peyups is a university based site made for University of the Philippines (UP) students. It’s tagline “where bright minds read” reflects it intellectual aview on different happenings about anything and everything. As compared to Pinoyexchange (PEX) peyups forumers are well-behaved and intelligent. This can be seen on the different posts where in PEX some do posts just to bash others or expressing more in emotion without thinking.
